Sponsorship & Charity Work

At Casey, both the company and the staff are involved in raising money for, and donating to, charities and causes that are close to our hearts.  Here are some of our favourites.

Movember

Prostate cancer is an illness people are generally reluctant to talk about, with symptoms that men would rather not get checked out.  It is a cancer that can grow very slowly or very quickly and sometimes has no symptoms at all.

It is something that has touched us here at Casey.  In 2009, one of our employees, Dave Lett, died of prostate cancer that had spread.  In memory of him, we formed a team for Movember Uk in 2011. This is a charity that raises money and importantly, awareness, of men's cancers.  Teams consist of Mo Bros (and supportive Mo Sistas) who grow moustaches throughout the month of November.  In 2011, Mo-People Mo-Progress Mo-Environment raised over £1000.

New Start Appeal

Casey held several fund raising events to raise money for the New Start Appeal.  The charity's goal was to raise £1million to purchase a Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Scanner.  This equipment, now at Wythenshawe Hospital, is the only one of its kind in the north west.
