Supply Chain Policy

Policy Statement

The Group will operate a supply chain selection and management procedure that will enable it to utilise the services of the most suitable suppliers and specialist contractors at all times.

Aims

  1. To identify the best available and most suitable suppliers and specialist contractors to meet the Group's requirements.
  2. To work with and develop long term relationships with like minded suppliers and specialist contractors.
  3. To employ the services of local suppliers and contractors wherever appropriate as required by the Group Sustainability Policy.

Objectives

  1. To objectively evaluate the capabilities and desirability of all proposed supply chain members.
  2. To create a working environment that encourages long term relationships to the benefit of all parties.
  3. To actively encourage all supply chain members to assist in promoting the Group's requirements with regards to continuous improvement.

Implementation

  1. Utilise the selection procedure to evaluate the suitability of proposed specialist contractors and suppliers using, where applicable, the following criteria:

Capability

Existing and previous track record with the Group

Management procedures

Health and Safety record and procedures

Customer care

Quality procedures

Design capability, evaluation and development

Respect for People agenda

Contribution to value engineering

Price

Environmental best practice

Commitment to sustainability

Locality

Corporate Social Resonsibility Policy and ethical trading standards

2. Undertake independent checks for references on previous relevant performance, financial stability and health and safety records.

3.  Regularly review the performance of all supply chain members to ensure that procedures are being implemented and commitments being honoured.

4.  Encourage manufacturers, suppliers and contractors through appropriate specifications to develop and supply environmentally preferable goods and services in line with a sustainable framework. This is underpinned by The Casey Group Sustainability Policy, The Casey Group ISO 14001 Environmental Improvement System and The Casey Group ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

5.  Ensure that all suppliers and contractors are encouranged and given the opportunity, on a rgular basis, to contribute to the process of continuous improvement.

This policy is reviewed annually by the Group Directors and was last reviewed in November 2011.
