Casey has started work on a project to bring affordable homes to Rochdale, with Rochdale Boroughwide Housing.
Waithlands Road, in Newbold, will be home to six modern terraced properties comprising four bedroom family homes available for rent. The homes are designed to meed the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3, making them efficient to run. They will also be built to Secured by Design principles.
There is a shortage of quality affordable family housing in the Rochdale borough, and this scheme is the start of a programme that should deliver 100 new homes for Rochdale over the next few years.
Dave Kelly, Casey Project Manager, for this scheme said, "As a Rochdale lad myself, working for a Rochdale contractor, I am delighted to be working on this exciting new scheme for the Borough."
