Project overview

Working alongside WDH and Groundworks Architects we were appointed to undertake major up grading of an estate containing 15 blocks of low rise maisonettes and bungalows over a challenging 18-month delivery programme. Significant phasing issues were overcome to allow residents safe access and egress including single entry properties. Our full scope of works included:

  • New footways with ramps to comply with DDA requirements
  • Upgrading dilapidated concrete stairways with new high-quality concrete steps, handrails and retaining walls
  • Shot blasted masonry walling with cast stone copings
  • Installation of 15 new bin storage units with keypad locking systems, water supply points, drainage and lighting
  • New car parking including refurbishment of existing parking areas
  • Defensible space to all ground floor dwellings
  • New gardens feature areas with low maintenance planting
  • Installation of a new children’s play area with equipment to meet all current ROSPA requirements.
