“Excellent” Considerate Constructors Scheme Score for Lea Green
We were delighted to receive an “Excellent” score of 43/45 in our recent Considerate Constructors Scheme Audit at our Lea Green Train Station site. A fantastic achievement and tremendous effort from all involved. Our team have worked alongside the client, Northern Rail and Project Managers, Vextrix to ensure the project is delivered with full consideration for the neighbouring community and the local environment. The auditor’s comments are testament to this collaborative approach:
“Very good lines of communication have been established with the neighbours and any day to day issues are dealt with pro-actively and effectively to ensure they do not escalate. Good relationships have been built with local schools and colleges with evidence seen of numerous events planned to promote the construction industry. Environmentally the company have ISO14001 accreditation and are on the journey towards Carbon Net Zero with a documented carbon reduction plan and Green Team initiatives currently been formed. The company place high importance on workforce wellbeing and had recently undertaken a full company stand down to discuss mental health and wellbeing initiatives. The Lea Green project will deliver a brand new multi-storey car park, ticket office, ground floor car park and associated public realm works, increasing park and ride capacity to around 450 vehicles.
