Rochdale industrial development receives planning permission
Rochdale Borough Council has granted planning permission for the development of Smallbridge Business Park to extend warehouse and office space.
Rochdale based Casey Group has plans to develop approximately 150,000sq ft of industrial property and will enter into a Local Labour Agreement (LLA) with Rochdale Borough Council to hire local people for the construction work. Councillor, Peter Williams, cabinet member for economic development and customer services , said he was delighted with the prospect of this investment to bring employment to the area when full and part-time jobs were much needed. “I am delighted that The Casey Group has agreed to enter into a Local Labour Agreement which will secure vital jobs and training opportunities for local people. It represents another example of private sector investment in the borough which is certain to bring about huge economic benefits for the town.”
