In July 2024, we were delighted to work with the UK Skills Academy to deliver the first Lancashire Destination Green Skills Bootcamp as part of our appointment as Main Contractor on the Shadsworth Estate regeneration project.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Positive Planet as our partner consultant to help us meet our commitment of being carbon neutral by 2050 in line with Governments roadmap to net zero. This is a huge milestone in our journey and will start to ramp up our efforts towards reducing carbon emissions across the business.

In May 2024, Casey invited 90 students from local school, Eaves Primary School in St Helen’s to our site at Lea Green Train Station to be the first to visit the new multi-storey car park and ticket office, constructed on behalf of Northern.

North West main contractor, The Casey Group Ltd has achieved Building a Safer Future (BSF) Champion status. The award recognises companies in the built environment industry that are committed to raising standards in building safety. Headquartered in Rochdale, The Casey Group is only the tenth organisation to complete the rigorous BSF Champion assessment.

A pair of ageing Salford tower blocks are going ‘green’ as part of a multi-million pound eco-transformation. Salix Homes has unveiled our ambitious investment plans for neighbouring blocks Greyfriar Court and Whitefriar Court in the Greengate area of Salford.

In 2023 we launched our ""Saving Lives Improving Lives" Casey Defibrillator Scheme. A defibrillator will be be placed on every one of our live sites and once the project is complete, the defibrillator is donated to a local school or community centre.

We’re pleased to announce that we have been award a place on the latest iteration of the North West Construction Hub Medium Value Construction Framework! The framework has been procured to deliver projects across values of £3m to £8m.

Over the last couple of months we have been delighted to secure places on several prestigious frameworks covering all of our construction divisions including new build, refurbishment and civil engineering.

Cllr Tracy Kelly, Deputy City Mayor and Lead Member for Housing, Property and Regeneration at Salford City Council, joined Great Places Housing Group to view progress on the site at a new £3.8m development at Highfield Road in Little Hulton.

In March 2023, our site at Sheffield General Cemetery was used as a location for the shooting of a short film based on the story "Born on Sunday Silent" written by Desiree Reynolds as part of The Book of Sheffield. This is a collection of short stories which celebrate the diversity of the city.

We were delighted to receive an “Excellent” score of 43/45 in our recent Considerate Constructors Scheme Audit at our Lea Green Train Station site.

We are delighted to announce our KAMPUS scheme has scooped an award in the Hard Landscaping category at the 2022 British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) Awards ceremony.

On Friday 28th October all Casey employees gathered at the spectacular Gorton Monastery for our Employee Wellbeing and Resilience Day. This was a first for Casey where we completely closed the business down for the day.

Over the last couple of months John Walmsley, our Direct Services Manager and Marsha Hurst, our Social Value Coordinator have attended various careers events to help encourage and inspire students to join the construction industry.

In October 2022 we opened our “Casey Building Safety and Skills Academy” which focuses on delivering fire and building safety training and assessments.

In August 2022, the Swinton Greenway project, delivered on behalf of Salford City Council, was successfully handed over for community use. The scheme involved construction of a new 7km off-road path which runs from Monton to Swinton.

Former four-time World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty was the guest of honour as Great Places’ Bowland House in Blackburn was officially unveiled.

For this year’s National Apprenticeship Week, we invited all our current apprentices to join our Leadership Team for lunch, this was a chance to share stories and experiences.

Casey completed the refurbishment of the Rochdale Fire Station Museum on behalf of Rochdale Borough Council.
